SUZANNE DESOLEIL

Suzanne DeSoleil is a contemporary artist whose work explores resilience, transformation, and the untamed beauty of the natural world. With a career spanning over three decades, she seamlessly blends painting and ceramics, crafting evocative narratives that capture the interplay of light, shadow, and personal mythology.

Her artistic journey began with a full scholarship to the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts in 1992, followed by ceramic studies at Juniata College and a BFA from Boise State University in 1999. Over the years, her dedication has earned her six public art awards, international juried exhibitions, and recognition at prestigious venues like the Clymer Museum in Ellensburg, Washington. Her work has been featured on wine labels, collected worldwide, and displayed in both private and public collections.

Deeply inspired by nature, Suzanne paints the edges of mystery—the spaces where light meets shadow, where history lingers in weathered barns, and where trees stand as testament to endurance and renewal. Her process is intuitive, layering color and texture to evoke emotion and nostalgia, inviting viewers to step into quiet, powerful spaces. Through her work, she honors the wild, the enduring, and the luminous traces left by time.
