Though her aesthetic leans toward abstraction, Martin spends a significant portion of the year painting from life outdoors. The challenge of observing and replicating color relationships, simplifying shapes, and capturing the essence of place and time provides invaluable training for her broader artistic practice.

As the past president of the Utah Watercolor Society and a signature member of both that organization and the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, Martin is also a Nautilus Fellow of the International Society of Experimental Artists. In addition to her painting, she teaches classes and workshops in watercolor, mixed media, and oil and cold wax. Her work is showcased in galleries across Utah and Washington and has been featured three times in 15 Bytes, Utah’s Art Magazine. With over a decade of national exhibitions under her belt, Martin continues to inspire others through her vibrant artistry.
