Jason DeMeo is a contemporary artist based in Nashville, Tennessee, whose work explores the miracle of matter and the transformative power of creativity. Originally from Pittsburgh and of Italian heritage, Jason draws inspiration from natural processes and urban decay—rusted bridges, weathered walls, and shifting light. These elements inform his signature method, Reverse Abstraction™, in which layers of paint are applied to the studio floor, dried, and pulled up to reveal embedded textures and “memory fragments” from past works. The result is a surface history that feels both excavated and emergent—echoing the beauty that hides in the overlooked.
